A fire forced a family and their dog out of their South Sacramento home early Friday morning.
The fire happened just before midnight on Demaret Drive near 24th Street and Florin Road.
People in the neighborhood reported electrical problems and the smell of smoke.
When emergency crews arrived, they found a small fire in the attic.
Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire.
No one was injured.
